Sorry, but, about your last post, not everyone is in a place comics other than those from the Big Two reach. I'm in a country in South America and I only see Marvel and DC's comics here. Of course, some graphic novels get there but they're so amazingly expensive; I didn't knew about most non-superhero-Marvel-DC comics before I got into the comic-y part of the internet. Not criticizing or anything, but sometimes they do monopolize the market. Sorry for any inconvenience :x

There are options other than print comics, then.

Online comics. Webcomics. Digital versions of those print comics you can download to your computer. All of these are the same price regardless of your location in the world (exchange rate aside).

Amazon. Book Depository. Other online book retailers. Several of these have international versions of their eStores. Buy several books and combine shipping for extra savings; some even offer free shipping.

Heck, libraries. They must have some manga, BD and comics selection. All for the low price of living in your neighbourhood (meaning you get to borrow the books for free).

I don’t buy the “there’s no other option” excuse because in this day and age of technology, there isn’t much we can’t get our hands on, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. I’m sorry your experience has been that it’s taken you a long time to find something else than Marvel and DC, but now that you know it exists, exercise your right as a consumer to find and consume what you like.
